Citi Malaysia chief executive officer Lee Lung Nien was once just an average student but has now come a long way acquiring success in many other areas like music, racing, diving and sports.

Here are some nuggets of wisdom from Lee:

  • Get a life, outside of work! The diverse interest in your personal life opens up opportunities for you to connect with people professionally.
  • Look out for loyal and trustworthy people who have the organisation’s best interest in their hearts to move the organisation to the next level. In fact, hire someone smarter than you.
  • Don’t invest your entire heart and soul into your work, only to have yourself suffer from burnout.
