Failure Is A Stepping Stone To Success

Failure is what stops us from trying that initial step into the unknown to realise our dreams.

Failure is what stops us from trying, daring, and taking that initial step into the unknown to realise our dreams. What we often do not realise and then accept is that failure is merely a process through which everyone in their lives has to travel in order to achieve something great.

Those “lucky” ones that have made it in life are no exceptions – they too, had to face many failed attempts. Their courage and persistence allowed them to overcome the failures. Instead of being dragged down, they use these experiences as stepping stones for their next, successful attempt.

The secret is to look at our failures and take only the necessary from them – the lessons that they taught us, and make sure that the next time around we correct our errors. Rather than focusing on the apparent “catastrophe” that we have landed in, we should analyse our actions and determine what went wrong.  Be sure that the next time around we change our behaviour to ensure a different outcome.

So, here is the thought for this week – do not be too worried to try. Potential failure should not be a reason to deter you from trying. If you have already experienced failure, then there is no need to mourn! Take a moment to review your actions. Be strict with yourself and render an objective evaluation. Learn your lessons and move on! Life is full of new opportunities that we become more adept at tackling as we learn from our previous mistakes and amass our life experiences.
